WHAT IS PARENTS IN PLAYMODE?
Parents in Playmode is a community dance project that brings parents together during school time, without children, for 2-hour sessions.
Together, we move our bodies, build our fitness and confidence. Accompanied by live music, we learn dance movements, stretch and let go of body tension. We also create dances in groups using props like scarves, to express and release emotions.
Parents in Playmode is an opportunity to meet other parents, discuss challenges and share healthy snacks. The programme also provides activities to try at home and share with children.
All sessions are free, refreshments are provided, and participating parents receive a small bursary for each session attended.
WHO Is it FOR?
Parents in Playmode is for mothers and carers of children with special educational needs, autism and/or mental health challenges who live in Lambeth.
