In Conversation with Company Concentric is a monthly roundtable discussion facilitating peer-resourcing on current challenges facing independent artists for creatives interested in collaborative practices across and beyond the fields of dance, music and design. Conversations are held on Zoom on the first Wednesday of the month and co-hosted by two company members (Yanaëlle Thiran, Mikaela Livadiotis and/or Shivaangee Agrawal) who offer a reflective space where artists can share questions, ideas and examples from their practices.

This series of Conversations is highly refreshing, insightful and inspirational - and the hosts are superb.

There is no guest speaker or panel of experts ; this is a space where self-reflection and peer-resourcing create the learning. We chair the discussions to stay on topic and give anyone who wants to speak, a chance to do so. Although the focus is not on promoting your work, there is a moment at the end of each conversation to network and share links with the group. We then compile a toolbox of resources and make it freely available to artists, together with an audio recording of the discussion.

I could take part in as much or as little of the conversation as I felt like on the day and still feel part of something really quite community like. It was also so great to be talking in a group of artists from such diverse backgrounds who offered a range of perspectives on topics, and for the company members to take an equal position within the conversation amongst the group of artists at the same time as facilitating.
