Remainder

Untie the fabric that unites, and you get a divide. Three performers move and make sounds with a capricious cloth, until they manipulate nothing but immaterial memories. Developed during residencies at Rosas Studios (Belgium) and Pavilion Dance South West, ‘Remainder’ is Company Concentric’s first trio work, co-created and performed by Shivaangee Agrawal, Mikaela Livadiotis & Yanaëlle Thiran.

This production unfolds around a long cloth, used as a metaphor for that which can unite or divide people. When the cloth disappears, the dancers continue manipulating their memories of moving and making sounds with it. The title ‘Remainder’ refers to what is left in and around the remembering bodies once the cloth has gone out of sight.
